Deutsch-Niederländischer Energie-Dialog
On 9 June, the first German-Dutch Energy Dialogue will take place at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park in Wesseling, Germany. Keynote speakers from the German and Dutch politics spheres include Oliver Krischer, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), and Rob Jetten, Dutch Minister for Climate and Energy Policy. The discussion focusses on the current challanges and opportunitites for energy collaboration.
Rene Peters (TNO) presents research into the future need for ‘green’ hydrogen in Europe. This will be followed by panel discussion on topics such as cross-border collaboration in the implementation and decarbonisation of the energy system, the ramping up of the hydrogen economy, and the consequences of the Ukraine war for the European energy system.
During this event there is a chance to tour Europe’s largest PEM hydrogen electrolyser, REFHYNE. The day concludes with a social get-together.
The Dialogue is organised by the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce and Shell Germany

- Keynote talks, State Secretary Oliver Krischer, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), and Minister Rob Jetten, Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy
- Presentation of the Hy3 and CE Delft investigations into ‘green’ hydrogen in Europe, Dr Rene Peters, TNO
- Energy dialogue between actors from business and politics
- Tour of the REFHYNE hydrogen electrolyser
At 5pm there will be a social get-together. The event will end around 6pm.
The languages used for the event will be German and English.
